How Decompression Works:
Decompression unloads pressure on neurological, vascular and osseous components. As fluids are drawn back into the surrounding area of the damaged disc, nutrients, blood and healing substances help reconstitute the disc.
It has been observed that over 95% of chronic low back pain is due to an underlying mechanical instability referred to as mechanical spinal pathology. Because of muscle atrophy and instability, neurocompression is a common result from abnormal disc, vascular or osseous pressure. A prescribed series of decompression procedures, performed by an expertly trained physician and staff are indicated for relief of severe chronic low back pain.
Decompression therapy is an effective procedure for chronic and severe low back pain utilizing an FDA approved discovery of this medical device for indicated conditions. Clinical results vary, however patients with degenerative disc, herniated disc, facet syndrome sciatica, bulging disc and spinal stenosis have reported as high as a 92% good to excellent response.
After completing the prescribed treatment protocol, Decompression patients are frequently given a proactive plan for prevention in order to provide long lasting relief.
